Peach Shortcake ~ fluffy sweet buttermilk biscuits topped with juicy Jake & Amos Peach Halves, whipped topping and vanilla ice cream. A simple down home summer dessert that’s definitely one of the best things ever!

Ingredients:
4 cups Jake & Amos Peach Halves
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/3 cups Biscuit & Baking Mix
2/3 cup milk
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup turbinado sugar (or Raw Sugar)
4 cups prepared whipped topping
Vanilla ice cream, optional
Directions:
- Heat oven to 425°F. In large bowl, drain Jake & Amos Peach Halves; slice and set aside.
- In medium bowl, stir Biscuit & Baking Mix, milk, 3 tablespoons sugar and the butter until soft dough forms.
- On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by 6 spoonfuls, sprinkle with turbinado/raw sugar. This way they hold more of the sugar.
- Bake 16 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.
- Split warm shortcakes; fill and top with sliced Jake & Amos Peach Halves and whipped topping. Don’t forget the vanilla ice cream!!.
