Ingredients:
1 jar (16 ounces) of Jake & Amos Sauerkraut
1 pound cooked smoked sausage, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
4 cups diced frozen hash brown potatoes
1 cup onion, diced
1 cup peppers (your choice for level of spice), diced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 cans (14 ounces each) chicken broth, or homemade
1 1/2 cups half & half
2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Black pepper, to taste
Directions:
- In a 5-quart slow cooker, place sausage, frozen potatoes, peppers, onions, Jake & Amos Sauerkraut, mustard, cheese, and parsley together.
- Pour broth and half & half over ingredients and stir well to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours and then finish on high for 2-3 hours.
